What are the requirements for a New Address Request ?
  • BCCD Addressing Request Form (online only).
  • GPS coordinates of center of entry of driveway.

How will I receive notification of my New Address Request?
  •  The Requestor will receive notification by email only. Check your spam folder in addition to your inbox for the notification.

How long does it take to receive notification of a New Address Request?
  •  The Requestor will typically receive notification by email within one week. Check your spam folder in addition to your inbox for the notification.
  • If it was been more than 10 days from the date your request was submitted online, you can reach us at 205-625-4911, option 1, during regular business hours.

What if my property has more than one residence (i.e. more than one structure)?
  • If the property on which you are requesting an address has more than one or will have more than one residence, you are required to fill out an Exempt Subdivision Letter form. DO NOT submit a request online.
  • To complete an Exempt Subdivision Letter form, please contact the Blount County Revenue Commission at (205) 973-0285.
  • Once an exemption is obtained, a paper copy of the Addressing Request Form will be provided to you by the Blount County Revenue Commission and subsequently submitted all together. DO NOT submit a request online.
  • If you did not receive a  a paper copy of the Addressing Request Form, please contact the Blount County Revenue Commission at (205) 973-0285.

Can I visit Blount County Communications District to submit a New Address Request in-person?
  • No, the addressing process is fully electronic as a convenience to the public within Blount County. 
  • All New Address Requests or Address Verifications are processed online only through a contracted service company.
